SEO - Need of The Digital Era

Search Engine Optimisation | SEO: - The need for Twenties Era.

Search Engine Optimization is the method used with various tactics, strategies & techniques to increase visitors’ traffic to your website or web-content, by gaining high ranking on SERP. In a blog of Search Engine, I have described the term SERP. If you haven’t read yet go through that because it will help you to understand this blog.

Whatever a query is entered in the search bar is called ‘Keyword’

There are 3 types of search quires or Keyword:  Informational, Navigational, Transactional 

Optimization – To make the best use of something.  


Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the quality of Website in such a way that to achieve top rank on organic search result which increases the user traffic (visibility). If we consider the ‘google’ search engine, there are more than 200 ranking factors. I have written a detailed blog for Ranking Factors.

 

 

Types of Search Engine Optimization

1.   Black Hat SEO –

It works for ranking the website but against guidelines. In short opposite to the rules. In another way, I would say it can be forceful tactics or strategies to work in SEO. Its risky practice way.

 

2.   White Hat SEO –

It can be said working for ranking by properly considering google rules for search engines. Simply it shows working with the ethical way with search engine guidelines. Its safe practice way.

 

3.   Grey Hat SEO –

In a simple way, it seems a combination of good & bad SEO technics. More of white SEO i.e. good technic. But there are chances of conversion in risky moves as some of bad or nonproper used.

Here I have shown a diagram; which can make it easy to understand where we can work to make changes to our website according to SEO.


Before starting optimization of your website you have to do a needful study like - Site analysis, Keyword research, Competitor analysis, Website Audit Ranking report

Search Engine Optimization gets divided into 3 parts.

A.  On-Page SEO

B.  Technical SEO

C.  Off-Page SEO

On-page SEO –

It has 2 different Sections Meta Section & User Interface Section (UI Section).

Meta Section has 3 parts –

Ø  Meta Title            2. Description.    3. Meta Keyword

Meta section –

1)   Meta Title -

a)   It should contain your keyword

b)   Its length can be maximum 60 to 70 characters

 

2)   Meta Description –

a)   It should contain your keyword

b)   Its length can be max 320 characters

c)   It should be unique & informative

d)   Plagiarism is the tool to check uniqueness of description

 

3)   Meta Tags/Keywords–

a)   There are 6 Meta tags =    <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6>

b)   It should contain keyword

c)   <h1>&<h2> can be used once only

d)   <h3> can be used twice

e)   <h4>to <h6> multiple use

 

 

UI Section (User Interface) –

 

1)   Header Optimization –

a)   Design header part (section) according to the web page content

 

2)   Footer Optimization –

a)   Design header part according to the web page content

 

3)   URL Optimization –

a)   It should be human readable

b)   Use hyphen (-) to separate each 2 words

c)   Avoid using special characters

d)   It should be small letters only

e)   Character limit is 50-60 only

 

4)   Content Optimization –

a)   Content is the king of SEO

b)   Keyword density should be 2-3% (for 200-300 words only 2/3keywords)

c)   Content Should be unique & informative

d)   Plagiarism is the tool to check uniqueness / delicacy.

 

e)   LSI - Latent Semantic Indexing – It means you are not supposed to neglect related searches

f)     After completion of your keywords you can think about related searches & then you can write more content

 

5)   Header Tag Optimization –

a)   <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> these can be used

b)   These all are the titles of the website

c)   <h1> <h2> are called primary & they can be used once only

d)  <h3> Can be used once only

e)   <h4> <h5> <h6> these can be used many times

 

6)    Image / Video / Altags-

Appropriate Images & Videos can be added to the website to increase the beauty of the UI & It can be properly tag. It should be informative rather than decorative. Because 1 single image can describe 100 words.

 

7)   Sidebar Optimization –

8)   These are user-friendly.

9)   It also contains keywords.

Technical SEO: -

·        Google Dancing –

The fluctuation of website position in the ranking manner, it called Google Dancing

It happens due to certain updates & its algorithms.

There are 200+ factors which decides rank

 

·        Breadcrumbs–

It’s a kind of niche (niche means = it is a sequence of URL words/ characters)

·        Broken Link–

Defective link present on the website. If any link is broken on the website it should get removed. It can’t be redeveloped.

Website checking / Optimization-

a)   The Load time should be 3-5 seconds. If load time is more than the bounce rate can be increased. (bounce rate = closing the opened/ opening page immediately)

b)   Following factors can cause for page load time

c)   Page size should be 3-5 MB

d)  The request should be below 100 lowest number is always good

e)   Performance grade should be A

f)     Pingdom is a preferable tool for checking above characteristics of the website.


OFF PAGE SEO: -

Off-page work is about your online reputation. It works to generate backlinks for your page from authority sites in your niche.

·        Back Links / Inbound links-

Backlinks are the links which we provide to another website to promote our website.

Outside website

Backlinks are very important to generate traffic & ranking factor.

It spreads our presence.

Social Book Marking -

Social Book Marking is a way that can help to produce backlinks. Directory Submission, Image Submission, Article Submission, Blog Submission, PPT Submission, PDF Submission these works to produce backlinks. There are some websites available to do such work.

Dictionary Submission - 

Regularly you need to do bookmarking, it creates backlinks.

You can find bookmarking sites on google by searching bookmarking sites 2019

Maintain an excel sheet to record data of your bookmarking.

Searching submission options on a particular site might be difficult some times.


Directory Submission –

Same like bookmarking submission, we have to find dictionary submission sites & do the same process as above Maintain report chart for the same.
